
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress, media personality, and singer. She has been a judge in Britain's Got Talent, an ITV talent show since 2007. On weekdays, she co-hosts Heart Breakfast radio with Jamie Theakston. Holden was born in Portsmouth in Hampshire. She spent most of her growing up in Bishop's Waltham. At nine she was a member of the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden also has TV credits including three series that she co-starred with Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham in the show Kiss Me Kate, three episodes on ITV's The Grimleys and Celeb With Harry Enfield, and a special Agatha Christie episode "4.50 from Paddington" for Boxing Day. She co-starred with Bill Nighy and Tom Courtenay in Ready When You Are, Mr. McGill, a comedy drama written by Jack Rosenthal. Along with Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell, Holden is a judge on Britain's Got Talent. She joined the show in 2006.
