Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American actor, singer, and former model. She was the lead female singer for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. The singer and actress named Apollonia by Prince became one of many female musicians in the '80s who benefited from her relationship with Prince, the Purple One. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress born in the city of Santa Monica in 1959. Her beginnings included acting as a model for television. The show's lead actress was for Prince's Purple Rain in 1984 (at which point he had changed her name). At the time of that year, she took over Vanity as part of the group Vanity 6 and performed with their name Apollonia 6 in the film. She made more of an influence on the charts by being Prince's mate in Take Me with You, which was a duet in his soundtrack. Kotero and Prince had a fallout regarding her career. Apollonia6 broke up and Kotero didn't keep her romance with Prince. She appeared in several minor movies during this period and was reportedly not allowed to take part involved in The Purple Rain sequel Under the Cherry Moon. From 1985 to 1986 she got a role in the drama series for evenings Falcon Crest. Apollonia's debut album came out in 1988. The R&B and dance songs were not a huge hit by those who bought music. They soon ceased to exist. Through the years, she remained an active actor, with a few film appearances and a few TV series. Apollonia released a CD in Spanish and English named Stay With Me in 1997.
