Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best well-known for his part in the popular TV show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. From his early college days Meloni became interested in the field of acting. Then he studied at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on both television and films however it is his roles in the smaller screen which gave him popularity and much admirers. He is able to play both characters from the side of the police as well as the other. This is what makes him so popular. His first television show, he was a serial murderer. Later he portrayed the character of an NYPD detective. Numerous times, he was nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. The actor is famous for his blue-piercing eyes, which have become a signature and helped create a charismatic character for tough roles. The People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured his face.
