LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) was an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of basketball's greatest players and is frequently in comparison to Michael Jordan when discussing the most famous basketball player. James has taken home four NBA championships, four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James has scored the second most career goals and seventh in assists. James has been chosen as an NBA All Star 18 times. James has been named an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times and for his place on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He was the 3rd player to participate in NBA Finals. Eight of these were consecutive between 2011 to 2018. James was selected to his place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has attained 10,000 points or more in rebounds, assists, and points in his career in 2022. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, in Akron Ohio. The national press praised him as an NBA superstar. A prep-to-pro, he was picked for the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of 2003's NBA draft. He was named the NBA player of the year for 2004. Then he was one of the best athletes of the NBA and was awarded an NBA MVP Award twice in 2009 and 2010. James, who did not take home the title at Cleveland in 2010 left as a free agent and joined his team the Miami Heat. This was revealed in The Decision. It is one of the most controversial choices made by a free agent in sports history.
